Cuttlefish or octopus stifado

This particular stifado (stew with onions) is a recipe from the book Cretan traditional dishes... it is a great book, worth having!

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash and clean the cuttlefish, then cut into small pieces.

* Step 2

Sauté the onions in the oil, add the cuttlefish and sauté until all their liquids are absorbed.

* Step 3

Add the vinegar, tomato, bay leaves, a little salt, pepper and a cup of water.

* Step 4

Cook for an additional half hour.
