Apple chutney
Autumn and still lots of apples on the trees in the garden.....
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Prepare all ingredients and place in a large,heavy-bottomed pan or maslin pan.
* Step 2
Bring to the boil and simmer for approx.45-50mins. Stir frequently to ensure mixture does not catch on the bottom of the pan.
* Step 3
The chutney is ready when the apples have softened and the chutney is dark and liquid has reduced
* Step 4
Cool slightly and then fill sterilised jars - be careful the chutney will still be hot! Seal and cool.
