Chicken Bao

Chicken Bao

I found some bao buns in M&S so I cooked up this tasty chicken filling and pickled carrots.

Ingredient

Food ration :

2 people
1 tbsp

soy sauce

1 tbsp

cornflour

Pinch

salt

2 tbsp

mayo

2 tsp

siracha

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Chop the chicken thighs into chunks. Mix together the soy, chilli powder, cornflour and 5 spice and marinade the chicken. Leave in the fridge, covered, for an hour

* Step 3

Meanwhile prepare the pickled carrots. Chop the carrots into small batons and add salt. Massage the salt into the carrot for a few minutes. Add the vinegar, mix well and set aside. Shred the spring onions.

Mix the siracha and mayo and set aside.

* Step 5

Heat a table spoon of oil in a wok. Once hot gently add the chicken. Stir fry until brown and crispy.

Heat the bao buns following pack instructions. Serve!
