Ingredient

honey

1/2 cup

sugar

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Sift flour. Make a well in the center, and break eggs into it.

* Step 2

Add salt, and knead until smooth.

* Step 3

Roll dough on floured surface to 1/4"thick. Cut into 1/2" strips, and cut strips into 1/2" bits. Shape pieces into balls.

* Step 4

Heat oil to 350 degrees, drop balls 3 at a time and fry until brown, turning constantly. Remove and drain.

* Step 5

Combine honey and sugar in saucepan and boil over low flame for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

* Step 6

Add fried dough one cup at a time and cook in honey syrup, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute.

* Step 7

Remove and put strufoli on flat plate to cool. Sprinkle with pine nuts and powdered sugar as soon as they are cool enough to handle.

* Step 8

Mold about 5 together. Enough for 8
