Lentil Soup

My mom's recipe.

Ingredient

Food ration :

8 servings

Cooking time :

1 hour
2 tablespoons

olive oil

4 cloves

garlic

4 stalks

celery

2 cups

lentils

9 cups

water

1 teaspoon

salt

1/4 teaspoon

pepper

2 teaspoons

oregano

2 teaspoons

thyme

2 teaspoons

marjoram

2 tablespoons

lemon juice

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Chop garlic to a mince, cut onion into slices, pour olive oil in a large pot and sauté 5 minutes

* Step 2

Chop celery and carrots and add to pot. Cook 10 minutes

* Step 3

Add 9 cups water and 2 cups lentils and cover pot

* Step 4

Throw in spices, herbs, salt and pepper

* Step 5

Simmer for 30 minutes then add lemon juice
