Bolu Kampung (Classic Village Cake)

The recipe is from my mom and this bolu kampung always serve everytime in the wedding or any party in my village to entertain the invitees ! But they normally not use topping . But this time I tried to modify it and put topping on the cake.

Ingredient

1 tablespoon

ovalett

3 tablespoon

margarine (melted)

1 teaspoon

vanilla

3 tablespoon

milk powder

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mixer Eggs, sugar and ovalett until fluffy, after expanding add flour, vanilla and milk powder using lowest speed mixer or whisk until all evenly mixed. And add margarine that has been melted then stir again the mixture until well blended.

* Step 2

Then put the mixture into a mold that has been smeared with margarine, then bake in the oven at a temperature of 160 approximately 45 minutes or until browned. If it's done, lift it and cool it down.

* Step 3

After chilling, spread with butter cream (must be really cold), then top it with topping according to taste. (Chocolate sprinkle or sherdedd cheese)

* Step 4

Note: you can make your own butter cream or just buy ready to use one.

* Step 5

For the butter cream recipe you need and this can be for 2 -3 cake topping. Ingrediants: 125 grams of butter 1 1/2 cups of refined sugar 1 tablespoon of liquid milk

* Step 6

Using an electric mixer, beat butter in a bowl until pale. Gradually add icing sugar mixture and milk, beating constantly until combined.
