Cooking instructions
* Step 1
In a mixing bowl combine warm water, yeast & sugar. Mix and let sit covered with a thin towel for 5 minutes. (The mixture will become foamy)
* Step 2
Add in flour & salt. Mix until combined (you might need to add a few splashes of water if needed) to get the dough to come together. Cover and let dough rise for an hour.
* Step 3
Pour some cornmeal on a baking sheet and flour your surface..do not use parchment paper like I did just flour your cleaned counter!!
* Step 4
Pour your dough onto floured surface & sprinkle a little more flour so it doesn’t stick. Gently press into a circle and cut 8-12 segments. (I did 8)
* Step 5
Gently form each segment into a ball and place on prepared baking sheet (the cornmeal prevents sticking). Repeat process with all segments. Cover with towel and let rise 25-30 minutes.
* Step 6
Preheat oven to 350. Heat a pan over medium heat (I buttered the pan but you don’t have to). Place balls on skillet and heat 4-5 minutes per side. Repeat until finished.
* Step 7
Place on a clean baking sheet or baking dish & cook in oven 10-15 minutes!
