Sambal Fried Eggs | Sambal Telur Goreng

During my childhood, we would have fried boiled eggs (or thrice cooked eggs) and sambal sauce over some rice for dinner. That's it. We couldn't afford some fancy food like meat nor seafood; sometimes we would have breadcrumbs instead of rice if times were really bad. Sad but fond memories indeed.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

You can check out my previous posts on how to make your own sambal and pickling almost anything.

* Step 2

Prepare the sambal sauce.

* Step 3

Saute until aromatic.

* Step 4

Bring it up to a slow simmer.

* Step 5

Prepare the fried eggs.

* Step 6

When you lift up the fork, the beaten eggs should flow smoothly.

* Step 7

Remove from heat and transfer onto the sambal sauce.
