milk

200 grams

strawberries

160 grams

jam sugar

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat oven at 180°/gas mark 4

* Step 2

In a bowl, mash the hulled strawberries and put into a saucepan

* Step 3

on a low heat cook the strawberries for 10 minutes

* Step 4

add the jam sugar and butter to the srrawberry mixture. Stir and turn heat up to boiling for about 5 minutes.

* Step 5

Pour into a clean heat resistant container and leave to cool.

* Step 6

refrigerate once cool. For use once cakes are cooked and cool

* Step 7

mix butter and sugar together until light and fluffy

* Step 8

beat the eggs before mixing into the sugar and butter mixture

* Step 9

Sift flour into mixture. Mix until light.

* Step 10

Mix in the milk

* Step 11

Put mixture into the cake cases and place baking tray in the oven for 20 minutes
