【A must for mushroom lovers!】Giant hamburg steak with whole jumbo mushrooms in a rice cooker

“Maybe this too can be made into hamburg steak in a rice cooker." I had a flash of inspiration at a supermarket I happened to stop by, and I couldn't stop fantasizing about it. Of course, I have never cooked it before. I don't even know if it tastes good or not. I don't even know if the price is reasonable. (I bought it without even looking at it, so I don't even remember it.) Will I succeed or fail? In a sense, it's a risky bet. Either way, I would regret if I didn't buy it and make it now, so I made it! ◆The recipe presented here is common to the following recipes. Below is the original recipe. https://note.com/namekotomato/n/n9844650d0278 ◆I have written the Japanese version of the recipe below. https://note.com/namekotomato/n/n00d391331715

Food ration :

Cooking time :

Approx 1.5 hours

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

◆Caution◆ This hamburg steak is huge and will take about 2 hours to complete. This is not a recipe for busy weekdays where every minute counts. Nor is it a recipe for those who are extremely budget-conscious and do not waste a single yen. If you cook this recipe with the casual feeling that you are just helping out, there is a possibility that you will be scolded. This is a recipe for adults who are excited to cook seriously on a holiday when they have time.

* Step 2

◆Important points to note Since this recipe uses a special cooking device called a rice cooker, I have written our own precautions and details on how to use the rice cooker. Please be sure to read the supplemental notes for overall rice cooker recipes below before making this dish. ↓ ●Additional notes on rice cooker recipes in general https://note.com/namekotomato/n/nf4946fbf75cf

* Step 3

The ingredients and the key points for selecting ingredients when cooking are the same as in the past recipes, so please refer to the recipes below. ↓ ●Super easy in a rice cooker☆Basic giant hamburg steak● https://note.com/namekotomato/n/nc67a070921f7

* Step 4

●About arrangement Please refer to the above and arrange them according to the tastes and constitution of the people who eat them. Please enjoy putting cheese inside, decorating it, making it into a hamburger, and so on.

* Step 5

If the mushrooms have soil on them, remove it with your hands or a cloth. Once done, cut off any damaged parts and the end of the stem, and place the mushrooms in the inner pot. When cutting the end of the stem, lay the knife on the side and cut slowly while holding the end of the stem firmly with your hand. (It is hard, so do not be in a hurry.)

* Step 6

I have sprinkled pizza cheese on top this time, for both binding and seasoning. (You can also cook without it if you prefer!)
Image step 6

* Step 7

Put ground meat, seasonings, binder, vegetables, etc. in a bowl and mix lightly throughout. (If you want to keep it simple and use only ground meat, skip step 3 and go to step 10.)
Image step 7

* Step 8

It is up to you to decide what to add to ground meat. This time I used rice malt and pepper that I had softened in hot water, but the mushrooms themselves are delicious to begin with, so you can make it with ground meat alone and it will still be delicious. In that case, you can cook them directly from the pack. You can also reduce the amount of dishes to be washed. The final product has a rich flavor, so if you want to season them later, you don't even need salt for seasoning.

* Step 9

It does not need to be kneaded until it becomes sticky. Since one side will be mushrooms, it will not crumble easily even if you do not knead it well. If you want to add something to the mixture too, you only need to mix it lightly throughout.

* Step 10

Stuff the ground meat so that it adheres perfectly to the surface of the mushrooms. Stuff the ground meat into the mushrooms while squeezing the air out of the gaps. When the surface is flattened, it is done.

* Step 11

Once set in the rice cooker, heat it, watching it from time to time. If there is a dedicated mode for baking something, such as cake mode or hamburger mode, set that mode. Baking time varies depending on the model, but it is about 1 to 1.5 hours. For models equipped with a temperature sensor, an error may occur during heating. In this case, please transfer to a frying pan or pot, cover with a lid, and cook well over low heat.

* Step 12

If no red gravy come out when you skewer it, it is a sign that it is done cooking. (If it is raw, heat it additionally, keeping an eye on it please.) Drain off the gravy by tilting the inner pot while holding it down with a spatula. If you are making the sauce by hand later, drain the gravy into an appropriate small pan. Be careful not to burn yourself! When finished, put a plate over the inner pot and turn it over at once.

* Step 13

Immediately after completion, it looks like ordinary stuffed shiitake mushrooms, but that's okay. I will make it even more delicious from here.
Image step 13

* Step 14

Finish by pouring hamburger sauce over the top! In this case, I used a sauce made by adding 6 tablespoons of ketchup and 3 tablespoons of sauce to the gravy and boiling it down. You can also add red wine, etc. It is delicious even if you make it taste different. Be careful after adding the seasonings, as the sauce on the bottom tends to burn easily. Simmer slowly over medium to low heat, stirring occasionally.

* Step 15

Thick, juicy and rich in flavor...! The slow cooking process makes it soft and tender. If you have never cooked it before, please try it.
Image step 15

* Step 16

●How to store after making If you cannot finish eating it, it can be frozen. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap, place in a storage bag, remove air and freeze. It is convenient to cut into single-serving portions and then freeze. When thawing, it is recommended to leave it in the refrigerator or place at room temperature, or heat it in the microwave while frozen.

* Step 17

●About how to eat and remake after preservation Make it small and put it in a lunch box Cut into small pieces and make into hamburg Serve with eggs and avocado to make a loco moco donburi Use as a filling for doria or gratin Breaded and deep-fried as mince cutlets Crumble up and add into a half-boiled omelet Crumble and use as a ingredient for pasta sauce Rolled and stewed to make cabbage rolls Wrap in pie crust and bake to make a meat pie Use as an ingredient in pot-au-feu, stew, curry, etc

* Step 18

And so on. It makes everyday cooking a little easier, so please try using it in a variety of dishes.

* Step 19
