Dum Aloo curry (Saatvic curry)

#curry Saatvic masala curry is one of the favorite Indian curry of my family which tastes absolutely divine. The light smoky and tangy flavour of roasted tomatoes makes it more delicious. To make it more rich add cream / Yoghurt while making.

Ingredient

20 minutes

Ginger

2 tablespoon

oil

to taste

Salt

1/2 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon

red chilli powder

1/2 cup to 1 cup

yoghurt/ cream

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Pat dry the tomatoes after washing.

* Step 2

Prick the tomatoes gently by using a fork. Roast the tomatoes over the flame until charred.

* Step 3

Oven can be used to char(roast) the tomatoes. Blend together the roasted tomato, green chilli and ginger.

* Step 4

Heat oil in a pan. Add the blended tomato and fry it till it starts leaving the sides of the pan.

* Step 5

Add salt and spices, boiled potatoes to it and Stir well to combine. Cook for a two or three minutes.

* Step 6

Add chopped cilantro to it and serve the divine curry in fast days or without fast.
