Fried Fish and Fried Tofu

Fried Fish and Fried Tofu
Marinate the fish and tofu for min 15 minutes, or few hours for better taste. Deep fry in hot oil. Eat with your fav 🌶 chilli or sambal. That is how usually Indonesian eat 😜
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash clean all fishes, coat the fishes the lime juice to remove the fishy smell. After few minutes, rinse the fishes and set aside.
* Step 2
Prepare the marinate for the tofu and fish: pound turmeric, garlic, coriander seed and salt in pestle and mortar. Add a bit of water (1-2 tbsp). Taste and adjust the salt if needed. Divide this marinate into 2 portions. One portion is for the fish, one portion is for the tofu. Photo is taken from internet
* Step 3
For the fish: no need to add more water. Spread this marinate to all fishes’ surface and leave it in the fridge for few hours.
* Step 4
For the tofu: add the water until cube tofus are submerged in the marinate water. You may need to add more salt as it wont be salty once you add more water
* Step 5
