Black chickpeas spicy curry
I was supposed to publish this a few days back….never got time to type in the recipe

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Prepare masala first.In a pan heat a tbsp oil and sauté onion till brown.add remaining ingredients - turmeric powder,cumin seeds,black pepper corns,chilli powder,coriander powder and sauté well till it turns aromatic on Low heat.remove from heat and when cold grind to fine paste by adding boiled and cooled water.
* Step 2
Add the ground masala to the black chickpeas that is cooked and kept in cooker.mix well.add water if needed and cook with whistle on for 2 to3 whistle in Low heat.switch off heat and allow pressure to be released.
* Step 3
Once pressure is gone,open,stir well and keep aside.in a pan heat 3 tbsp oil.add mustard seeds,when it starts to splutter add dry chilli,curry leaves and shallots and sauté till shallots are brown and crispy.pour this mix over the cooked mix in cooker.stir in well.
* Step 4
Serve with chapati or puttu or even as a side dish for rice
