Cherry Chocolate Chip Almond Cookies
Finding these dark chocolate cherry filled chips recently I wanted a cookie with them. They are delicious! Almonds are a good match with cherry and the chocolate covered ones are perfect! If you don't want nuts though you can leave them out!

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Preheat oven to 325. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
* Step 2
In a medium bowl whisk flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside
* Step 3
In a large owl beat butter with both sugars until light as fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes
* Step 4
Add egg, egg yolk and vanilla and beat in.
* Step 5
Add flour mixture and stir in until blended do not overmix
* Step 6
Fold in cherry chocolate chips and chocolate almonds.
* Step 7
Roll dough into 1 inch balls, place 2 inches apart on prepared pan. Flatten balls lightly with the palm of your hand.
* Step 8
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes just until light golden. Don't overbake for chewy cookies. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet then cool on wire racks.
* Step 9
NOTE; these cookies freeze really well!
