Protein waffles
I've been experimenting with high protein, low carb waffles for a few years. This morning's is pretty tasty--but don't overcook as it becomes too dry. (I found out the hard way on the first batch.)
Ingredient
Food ration :
2 waffles
Cooking time :
5-8 minutes
Cooking instructions
* Step 3
Stir in baking powder and salt
* Step 4
Add dry ingredients and blend in well
* Step 5
Gradually add almond milk a tablespoonful at a time to thin until the batter is thoroughly mixed and able to be poured.
* Step 6
Spray oil on heated waffle iron
* Step 7
Put about ½ to ¾ cup batter on iron and cook as recommended by manufacturer
* Step 8
Serve with butter and your favorite syrup or preserves. For a keto waffle, serve with tahini
