Tender Pork Spare Ribs in the Pressure Cooker
I didn't have orange juice on hand, so I used orange marmalade instead.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Add oil to a frying pan, season the spare ribs with salt & pepper, and grill them in the frying pan until both sides are evenly browned.
* Step 2
Transfer the spare ribs to the pressure cooker, and add the ☆ ingredients.
* Step 3
Lock on the lid and turn on the heat. Once it comes to a boil and the weight starts to move, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes (if your pressure cooker has a " high" or "low" pressure setting, use the "high" setting). Turn off the heat and set aside until the pressure is released naturally.
* Step 4
Remove the lid, and simmer over medium heat until the sauce reduces and thickens (it will take about 10 minutes).
* Step 5
Transfer the spare ribs to a serving plate, sprinkle on coarsely ground pepper to taste, and it's done.
* Step 6
They are also great for BBQ. Just sear them on the grill before serving! They are so tender, the kids will be amazed how easily they fall off the bone with just chopsticks and I assure you even the ladies will enjoy these tender spare ribs.
