Rusk Made from Sliced Bread in 5 Minutes

I remember seeing a recipe for this snack in my magazine that was geared towards grade schoolers. (Was that 30 years ago??) Ever since then, I've relied on this as an easy snack. My children love it. It's good to make when you're short on time.

Ingredient

Food ration :

1 serving
1 slice

Sliced bread

10 grams

Butter

1 tbsp

Sugar

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cut the bread in half. Then cut into 1 cm bite-sized pieces.

* Step 2

Melt the butter in a warm frying pan, then add the bread and fry. The butter is easily absorbed by the bread, so stir together quickly. Fry 1-2 minutes until both sides are crispy, then sprinkle on the sugar and mix. It's done when the sugar turns a nice golden brown.
