Matzoh toffee

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Using two jelly roll pans, stack them and then line with parchment paper.

* Step 2

Cover the bottom of the pan with matzoh, breaking pieces to fit.

* Step 3

Over medium heat melt the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan. Let it simmer for 4 minutes, stirring constantly.

* Step 4

Pour the sugar mixture over the matzoh and bake for 15 minutes.

* Step 5

Remove from the oven and cover the matzoh with chocolate. Wait and few minutes and then smooth the chocolate over the matzoh. Garnish with the almonds.

* Step 6

Freeze for 1 hour and then break the matzoh into pieces. Store at room temperature in a tightly closed container.
