Baked Goulash #mommasrecipes

This is my version of my mom's recipe. It's always been one of her best dishes. I grew up on this stuff at least every few weeks.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Brown the ground beef, onion and green pepper over medium heat

* Step 2

Drain the fat if there is too much

* Step 3

Add mushrooms and finish browning the meat

* Step 4

Stir in the sauce, reserving about 1 cup

* Step 5

In a glass baking dish spread about a cup of sauce in the bottom to prevent sticking

* Step 6

Layer macaroni, then sauce, then mozzarella. Repeat with remaining macaroni, sauce, and mozzarella.

* Step 7

Top with Parmesan Cheese and Italian Seasoning

* Step 8

Bake at 350 for 7 minutes until cheese is melted and sauce is hot
