Watermelon Berry Sorbet

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

For syrup: In a medium sauce pan, combine the water and sugar. Bring to boiling, stirring often. Boil gently, uncovered, for 2 minutes. Cool slightly.

* Step 2

In a blender or food processor, combine watermelon and berries. (If using food processor, process only half the ingredients at a time). Cover and blend or process for 30 seconds. Add warm syrup; cover and blend or process until nearly smooth. Transfer to a 13x 9 x 2 inch freezer proof container. Cover and freeze about 1 1/2 hours or until nearly firm.

* Step 3

Break up frozen mixture with a fork. Cover and freeze for at least 1 hour.

* Step 4

If necessary, let stand at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving. To serve, break up frozen mixture with a fork. Spoon into dessert dishes. If desired, top with additional berries and mint sprigs.
