Water Chestnut and Wheat flour Rotis

It is gluten free which means that it doesn't have any Protiens that can trigger a reaction in people with any terminal illnesses. Therefore it's a perfect choice for a healthy diet. This flour has a good source of Fiber and nutrients thus making it a valuable choice for people following a gluten free diet. It has also a great source of antioxidants that helps to keep a check on diseases related with age such as Heart ailments, Cancer etc. I had combined it with an equal amount of Sharbati Gehun Aata in 1:1 ratio for making these guilt free, soft and supple Rotis or Chapatis. And have also added Kalonji or Black Seeds for it's immense benefits.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Knead a smooth dough adding all the ingredients to a mixing bowl except the last one. Set aside for a couple of minutes. Use water as required. If it is lukewarm it's well and good. Lukewarm water helps in making the chapatis soft and supple.

Heat a tawa or a griddle. In the meantime, divide the dough into balls of equal size either medium or small.

Roll and roast them using oil or ghee as desired. Roast them well on both the sides pressing a little with a clean kitchen towel. Fluffy super soft rotis are done easily in just a few minutes. Serve hot with any side dish for a healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner.
