California Farm Stirfried Ground Beef with Roasted Peanuts

Simple, quick, mild tasting and delicious: crunchy wok roasted raw peanuts with ground beef, chopped onion, garlic, hothouse tomato, cabbage, carrot, sweet peppers, cilantro, ginger and cumin added, caramelized with sugar and wine, then spiced up with fermented pepper sauce to your liking, served over boiled turmeric rice.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Roast peanuts in dry wok till fragrant. Add ground beef and heat on low fire till fat has melted. Add sugar to caramelize and brown the meat.

Add sliced vegetables, garlic, ginger, cilantro and cumin to ground beef and roasted peanut mix. Add wine, simmer at low heat with lid on, stir till carrots feel soft, about fifteen minutes. Taste this mild flavorful fresh dish. Add a teaspoon of pepper sauce at a time to your liking for your level of spicyness.

Bring rice with turmeric and soy sauce in water to rolling boil in small cast iron pan, stir once, lid on, turn heat off, let sit an hour till soft.

Serve stirfried ground beef and vegetables with sauce with a serving of rice. Enjoy.
