Stir Fried Black Chickpea Sprouts

An easy peasy and a healthy one for the whole family. It is yummy and done quickly too. The soaking part only takes a lot of time, but the cooking does not take much time. It is a perfect Snack as well as a mid morning Brunch too. Tangy and flavourful with aromatic blend of spices makes it a delicious option to choose from a variety of others.
And these Sprouts are also made at home. They also get done very easily. Sometimes I don't even boil them and directly saute these in a pan with a few spices. That's it.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak Chickpeas overnight for best results. Prior to soaking, wash and rinse them under running water thoroughly. Add clean drinking water to them and soak. This is important as we are not going to throw away the water.
* Step 2
We need to boil it using the same water in which they were soaked. Do not over boil. Take water that's required. Do not take whole of it. The rest of it can be used for any Curry or Gravy.
* Step 3
In a pan, heat ghee and add mustard seeds, asafoetida and dry red chillies. As soon as they crackle, and curry leaves.
* Step 4
Also add sliced onions. This is optional. Saute until translucent. Add boiled chana sprouts and mix well. Stir in some black pepper too.
* Step 5
Stir fry on a medium flame for 10 minutes. Adjust salt. Garnish with chaat masala. Mix and serve.
* Step 6
Serve hot immediately as an afterschool snack or a tea-time munchie that is healthy and filling too.
