Aata and Walnut Chocolate Cookies

#walnuttwists These nutritious and healthy Cookies are made with Whole Wheat Flour or Sharbati Gehun Aata topped with Walnuts for a lovely Walnuty twist and flavour. The best part about these lovely looking Cookies is that they are made with easily available simple ingredients. And absolutely hassle free recipe. The result as you all can see is beautiful, lusciuos and soft Cookies with a delightful crunch of Walnuts. Give it a go this Year dear people. Iam damn sure that you will not regret it. Treat your family and friends, your neighbours and guests these gorgeous Cookies that just melt in mouth. You can even add large chunks of semi sweet Chocolate Compound if you wish just like me. However it's purely optional. You may or may not do that. I did that just to give it a little more punch. So let's get started. Happy Baking with Zee!

Ingredient

Food ration :

Egg

1/4 cup

Cocoa powder

1/4 cup

White Sugar

1/4 cup

Brown Sugar

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

First of all, whisk an Egg with both the Sugars mentioned along with melted Butter and Vanilla Essence.

Next is to sift the dry ingredients once. Now slowly fold in the wet mix. Add Chocolate chunks if you are using. Otherwise you can directly add Milk to make a smooth dough. Rest it for about 5 minutes in the refrigerator well covered.

* Step 3

Preheat the oven on 180° and set the timer to about 30 minutes. Meanwhile line a baking tray with a butter paper. Make equal sized balls out of the dough and place at some distance apart on the tray. Press a Walnut in the centre. Pop it in the oven after about 5-8 minutes of preheating. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or as required.

* Step 4

Every oven has it's own temperature settings, so do not panic and keep an eye on them after 20 minutes. They will get done very well. Serve them warm with a hot cup of Coffee or Milk or even a mug of Hot Chocolate. Enjoy!
