Aaloo Matar

#special Aaloo Matar is a simple and a easy dish that's enjoyed by many across the Country for everyday meals. The term itself makes it clear that it's a simple one with Green Peas and Potatoes. My kids love it very much and I make it a point to feed them wholesome and healthy meals especially when they are available aplenty during the Winter Season. And not only that, I store them in zip lock bags for later use. This beautiful dish is made with simple spices that induces natural flavour and aroma in it. It can be relished both with Rice and Rotis. That's not all. It is also enjoyed with Puris by my family. Flavourful and healthy, this definitely occupies a parmesan place on my menu. Ingredient

Food ration :

5-6 servings

Cooking time :

25-30 minutes

Oil

1/2 tsp

Garam Masala

1 tsp

Salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat Oil in a kadai. Saute Garlic and Onions together with the rest of the spices mentioned. Also add Green Chillies and Peas.

* Step 2

Cover and cook on a low heat until done for about 10 minutes. Also add a little of the chopped Coriander Leaves for a lovely flavour. Do not boil them. I usually cook them on a low heat. This way, they taste much better.

* Step 3

As for the Potatoes, deep fry the cubes in enough Oil for a lovely taste. Add them to the Peas and give them all a good mix. Adjust Salt at this stage. Garnish with more of the remaining Coriander Leaves and Garam Masala.

* Step 4

Give it all a light mix when dishing it out. Enjoy!
