Eggy spicy french toast with gochujang sauce

A quick and easy way to use bread is french toast. Here's a hot and spicy twist in the classic.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Half your bread roll to open. Alternatively you can just use slices of bread for a traditional french toast. I used cheesy bread rolls here.

Spread your gochujang sauce on both slices. If your not a fan of this hot chilli sauce then try with a different sauce such as tomato or BBQ. Or if you're going traditional just leave bread plain.

Crack two eggs into a bowl and whisk. Add a splash of milk and season with salt and pepper

Dip your slices of bread into the egg and completely submerge so the bread fully absorbs as much egg as possible. And turning to coat. Bread absorbs egg incredibly fast and will stay to fall apart so don't leave it sitting in the mixture. Do one slice at a time so you can have more control.

Gently place your first slice into a very hot pan with a little oil. As this cooks dip your second slice in the eggy mixture. In the few seconds that your second slice is ready to be added to the hot pan your first slice will be ready to turn over. It's that quick and easy.😃

Flip over until both sides of the French toast are crispy and golden. Enjoy.
