Cinnamon Flavoured Rice

#Spiceweek3 #cinnamon #Cinnamon is used mainly as an aromatic condiment and flavouring additive in a wide variety of cuisines, sweet and savoury dishes, breakfast cereals, snackfoods, tea and many more. Here, I have made cinnamon Flavoured rice.

Ingredient

7 minutes
1 bowl

rice

11/2 bowl

water

to taste

Salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash and rinse rice thoroughly and rest for 10 minutes.

* Step 2

Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cinnamon stick. Saute for 30 seconds. Add turmeric powder and cinnamon powder and saute for 30 seconds.

* Step 3

Add rice and mix salt and stir well. Add water and place the lid. Pressure cook till 2 whistles. Switch off the flame. Let pressure releases automatically.

Open the lid and serve rice hot with any curry or raita.
