Aloo tikki is a popular Indian street food snack made with boiled potatoes, aromatic spices and herbs. Aloo is the Hindi name for potatoes and tikki is a patty. So aloo tikki literally translates to potato patties.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Mash boiled potatoes in a mixing bowl. Grind bread slices in a mixer and make bread crumbs.
* Step 2
Mix bread crumbs in mashed potatoes. Add salt, red chilli powder, cumin seeds powder, black pepper and kasuri methi and mix well and make a dough.
* Step 3
Mix and knead the dough. Take a small portion of dough and make a ball and flatten it on your palm and make a tikki. Like wise make all the tikkis.
* Step 4
Heat a griddle. Heat cooking oil and shallow fry tikkis till crispie golden brown. Flip the side and shallow fry from other side also.
* Step 5
Serve hot with Tomato ketchup.
