#South Indian style Onion Tomato Rice with lots of spices! This is favorite way to make Onion tomato rice, it tastes so good with pickle and a side of yoghurt ! It’s my favourite one pot meal.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Peel, Wash and chop onions. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions and fry till golden brown.
* Step 2
Wash and Soak rice in water for 10 minutes.
* Step 3
Grate tomatoes and make puree and add in cooker and saute till oil leaves the sides. Add black pepper seeds, cloves, cardamoms, cinnamon and Bay leaves and saute for 2 minutes.
* Step 4
Add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala and mix. Saute for 30 seconds and add soaked rice and water and mix. Place the lid and pressure cook till 2 whistles. Switch off the flame. Let pressure releases automatically.
* Step 5
Serve hot with curd or pickle.
