Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Batter : Mix semolina and curd in a mixing bowl. Add water and mix well. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
* Step 2
Filling : Heat oil in a karahi and put cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions, grated ginger, green chilli and fry till golden. Add peas and cook for 5 minutes or till done. Add mashed potatoes and salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and chaat masala.
* Step 3
Mix thoroughly and cook for 2 minutes. Switch off the flame.
* Step 4
Divide this filling in two portions. Now make two rolls with this mixture
* Step 5
Now in semolina mixture add salt, baking powder and eno. Pour 1 tb sp water on eno and mix well.
* Step 6
Grease 2 glasses. Put one tb sp mixture in each glass. Fix potato roll in it.
* Step 7
Pour semolina batter over it. Fill 3/4 th glass.
* Step 8
Now heat 1 glass water in a pressure cooker. Put a plate in cooker and keep both glasses on the plate. Place the lid without weight and steam for 12 minutes on medium flame. Switch off the flame.
* Step 9
Open the lid after 20 minutes. Remove both glasses from cooker.Allow it to cool. With the help of knife remove the idli from glass.
* Step 10
Tadka :Now heat oil in a karahi and put mustard seeds and when mustard seeds splutter add turmeric powder and 3-4 tb sp water and put idli roll over it and stir fry on low flame for 2 minutes by rotating it on griddle. Likewise do the same procedure for other one.
* Step 11
Cut it in pieces and serve hot with sauce or chutney.
