Carrot & dry fruits halwa

Carrot dry fruit halwa is a traditional winter dessert made with lots of dry fruits in milk. It is specially made on Lohiri festival in Punjab.
Cooking instructions
* Step 2
Grate carrots. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a karahi and put carrots in it. Cook on medium flame till it gets dry. Add 1-litre full cream milk and cook till carrots absorb milk.
* Step 3
Slow the flame and cook for 5 minutes and keep stirring till the milk gets absolutely absorbed in carrots.
* Step 4
Now add remaining ghee and sugar. Cook on low flame till sugar dissolves completely.
* Step 5
Now add all the dry fruits, magaz and coconut and cardamom powder.
* Step 6
Serve hot garnished with cashew and walnuts.
