Rajma chawal

A punjabiyan Di dish, protein rich, favourite with kids.

Ingredient

1 bowl

Rajma

1 teaspoon

Cumin seeds

To taste

salt

3 teaspoon

Kasuri methi

1 teaspoon

Garam masala

1/2 teaspoon

Coriander powder

As required

Water

4 teaspoon

Cooking Oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash and Soak rajma for four hours. Now in a pressure cooker, pressure cook rajma for 15 minutes in medium heat. Remove the cooker from heat and keep aside.

* Step 2

Now Peel garlic, ginger and onion. Wash in running water and cut in small pieces and grind in mixer with tomatoes.

* Step 3

Now in a separate karahi heat cooking oil and put cumin seeds and let it splutter. Now add grounded paste and stir fry till oil leaves.

* Step 4

Now transfer the mixture in pressure cooker in which rajma is boiled. Stir and put kasuri methi in it and pressure cook for 5 minutes.

* Step 5

Rajma is ready. Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves with boiled rice.
