Ingredient

Food ration :

2 people

Cooking time :

Preparation time-10 mins, Cooking time-20 mins
2 Tbsp

Moong Dal

2 cups

water

1/2 tsp

cumin seeds

1/2 tsp

cumin powder

as needed

Oil

to taste

Salt

1 Tbsp

lime juice

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a wok boil Moon dal. Set aside once done

* Step 2

In a wok heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves. Stir and add tomatoes. Stir

* Step 3

Add cumin powder, turmeric powder, crushed garlic, grated ginger and add Dal and water. Stir

* Step 4

Add salt and cover to let the Dal and vegetables mix well.

* Step 5

Add lime juice on low flame and set aside. Keep covered

* Step 6

Serve with rice and enjoy. Don’t re-heat as lime juice once heated will not give a good taste
