turmeric powder

2 tablespoons

mustard oil

1 tablespoon

red chilli powder

1 teaspoon

cumin powder

1 teaspoon

coriander powder

1 tablespoon

garam masala

3-4 tablespoons

curd

2-3 tablespoons

Nigella seeds /kalonji

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Add salt, turmeric powder, and ginger-garlic paste to the chicken and keep aside for 15 minutes.

Heat oil in a karahi. Add the marinated chicken pieces and fry them from both sides. Now add all the spices and mix.

Add onion puree and mix properly Make a puree of tomatoes, coriander stems and strain it to get rid of the peels. Add it to the chicken and cook till the chicken is tender.

Serve hot with some lachha parathas or rice.

For the lachha dough, take whole wheat flour. Add salt and curd and knead soft dough. Keep aside for 5 minutes. Take a ball out of the dough and roll out into oval shape chapati. Apply few drops of oil or ghee all over and sprinkle some dry flour.

Fold the chapati length-wise and then roll to form a spiral shape. Dip it into nigella seeds and keep it aside. Repeat the same process with the rest of the dough.

Roll parathas one by one. Don't flip to many times. Roast the paratha on a hot tawa from both the sides and apply some ghee on top.

Serve hot.
