Pasthal curry

My mother make this traditional side dish on almost every Sunday for breakfast (Appam with pasthal curry)#weekyellow

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Add oil in a pan, add onion, chilli, cinnamon, clove, garlic and curry leaves. Fry until onion turns golden brown. (IF YOU WANT TO ADD PRAWNS YOU MUST ADD ALONG WITH AVOVE INGREDIENTS)

* Step 2

Now add ground paste, stir for few min, add 1/2 cup water, salt cover and cook in low flame for 5 min

* Step 3

Now add Appam batter, stir continuously in very low flame until you get thick consistency

* Step 4

Pour the pasthal curry in a serving bowl, squeeze 1/2 lemon and mix. Add egg pieces cover and keep for 10min.

* Step 5

Serve with Appam, dosa, poori etc.
