Marinated and baked chicken strips - shawarma djej

Shawarma is a very popular dish in Lebanon. Usually we have it in a sandwich that we buy from sandwich shops. Here is a delicious homemade chicken shawarma recipe: Chicken strips are marinated in a garlic and vinegar sauce then oven baked. It is best served with garlic cream and pickles.

Ingredient

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a large bowl, place the chicken strips and all the marinade ingredients together. Mix well and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hr.

* Step 2

Transfer the chicken and its marinade to a baking tray. Place the tray in the oven, at medium heat, for 30 to 40 min or until the chicken is tender.

* Step 3

Serve the chicken shawarma with garlic cream, fried potatoes and pickles.
