Tommy's apple cake
Tastes like fall.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour a bundt pan well.
* Step 2
Beat sugar, eggs, and oil until fluffy and pale, about 4 minutes.
* Step 3
Sift together flour, cinnamon, salt, and baking soda. Gradually add to sugar mixture.
* Step 4
Add apples and walnuts, if using. Batter will be wet.
* Step 5
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes.
* Step 6
Can also use a 9x13" pan.
* Step 7
Cool on wire rack 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool 1 hour on rack. Top with cream cheese frosting, if desired.
