Suji kheer (semolina)

#Holi2022 Holi is a festival of colours, celebration of enthusiasm. It's a perfect time to burn all negativity. We enjoy various dishes throughout the week. This one is my grandma's favorite.

Ingredient

Food ration :

serves 4 servin
1 cup

semolina

4 cups

milk

1 1/2 cup

water

3 tbsp

desi g hee

1/2 tbsp

nutmeg powder

4 tbsp

dry fruits

4 tbsp

sugar

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take heavy bottom pan add 1 tspoon desi ghee. Roast chopped dry fruits till light brown. Keep aside. Add some hot milk to saffron strands.

* Step 2

Now in the same pan add remaining ghee.add semolina and roast it till aroma comes out. Now add water.cover it and cook well. Now add sugar,mix well.once sugar dissolves add hot milk. Mix well

* Step 3

Add dry fruits, cardamom and nutmeg powder. Save some dry fruits for garnishing. Now add saffron.cook for 5 minutes. Serve hot or chilled as per your choice. Garnish with saffron and dry fruits.
