Ma Po Tofu

Ma Po Tofu is a traditional dish found in most Chinese restaurants. Very simple ingredients and cooking method goes well with rice.

Ingredient

Food ration :

Cooking time :

1 pack

Soft tofu

1 tbsp

soy sauce

1 tsp

sugar

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Marinate minced pork with soy sauce and Shaoxing wine.

* Step 2

Cut tofu into small cubes.

* Step 3

Stir fry minced garlic and ginger till aromatic. Add in minced pork and stir fry till cooked and aromatic. Add in tofu cubes.

* Step 4

Add in chilli bean paste and some water. Medium heat cook for 5 minutes for the seasonings to absorb into the tofu. Slowly stir the tofu.

* Step 5

Add some salt and sugar to adjust taste. Add in peppercorn. Finally add in cornstarch to thicken the sauce. Garnish with spring onions on top and serve.
