Chow Mein with Vegetables (Original)

Chow Mein with Vegetables (Original)

Original vegetarian chow mein. Easy and delicious, perfect for lunch, dinner or as a side dish.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Assemble all ingredients.

* Step 2

Bring a pot with water and 1 tsp of salt to boil.

* Step 3

Once boiling, add chow mein and cook following package instructions.

* Step 4

While following step 2&3, heat up over medium heat a pan with 2 tbsp of oil (2-3 min)

* Step 5

Add carrots and let it cool for 3-4 min, stirring occasionally.

* Step 6

Add the remaining vegetables (green peppers, red onion) and garlic powder. After mixing, let it cook covered for 7 min on med-low heat. Stir occasionally

* Step 7

On the side, assemble all ingredients for the sauce.

* Step 8

Once the 7 min have passed and the vegetables are at the desired tenderness, add chow mein and sauce and stir until everything is mixed well.

* Step 9

Place the cover back on and let it sit for another 2 min.

* Step 10

Turn heat off and add red pepper flakes for extra spice.

* Step 11

Serve warm and enjoy !
