Rhubarb and strawberry jelly

I never thought I would pick so many strawberries I'd be using them in my preserves....but there you have me. Jamming again. Also you may think jelly making is a bit wasteful. Try making strawberry and rhubarb cheese after with the leftover pulp. Delicious with cheese or with bread and butter

Ingredient

Food ration :

2 servings
450 grams

rhubarb sliced

70 ml

water

800 g

Jam sugar

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Place prepared fruits and water in a pan and simmer covered until soft

Strain through jelly bag

* Step 3

Return strained juice to pan plus 800 grams of sugar and juice of 1 lemon per litre of juice obtained

Stir until sugar dissolves

* Step 5

Boil fast to set

Pot in esterilised jars and seal
