Japanese Chestnut Sweet 栗鹿の子

This shaped Japanese sweet is called Kanoko. Put sweet beans or chestnut around sweet bean ball and brush agar jelly on it to make shiny. #GoldenApron23

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cut cooked sweet chestnut into small dices.

Make small balls with sugared cooked glutinous rice. Or make small balls with sweet red beans paste.

Put diced chestnuts on ball. Using wrapping film helps to make good shape

Add agar powder in water and boil it for 1 minute and put sugar in it. Boil again for a minute. Brush hot agar water on chestnut.
