Vanilla Sponge Cake

Vanilla Sponge Cake

It is a simple eggless cake. It is spongy, soft and mouthmelting cake.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a bowl take maida, cornflour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix well. Keep aside.

* Step 2

In another bowl mix sugar, curd, oil and vanilla essence.

* Step 3

Mix well till sugar dissolves. Keep aside for 15 min.

* Step 4

Now mix it with beater to a smooth mixture.

* Step 5

Now mix maida cornflour mix to the curd mixture.

* Step 6

Mix properly so that no lumps should remain.

* Step 7

Batter will be thick at this point.

* Step 8

Now add milk and mix well.

* Step 9

Consistency of the batter should be thick but pouring.

* Step 10

Preheat oven to 180*C for 10 min.

* Step 11

Grease and dust baking tin and keep aside.

* Step 12

Now take the batter and mix honey and white vinegar.

* Step 13

Pour the cake batter in the cake tin and sprinkle brown sugar and top with almonds. Do not mix.

* Step 14

Place baking tin in pre heated oven and bake for 40 min or till done.

Take it out of the oven and let it remain in the cake tin and let it cool completely.

Take it out of the tin.

Slice and serve.
