Bread Jaggery Halwa/porridge

Yet another reason to feast on our favourite dessert, Halwa! Sugarfree and with minimal /leftover ingredients...and you have yourself a sweet treat!

Ingredient

Cooking time :

75 grams

Ghee

100 grams

Jaggery

2 tablespoon

Milk

2 tablespoon

Mixed powdered nuts

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Shred the bread into small pieces and grind into a fine powder

* Step 2

Melt the jaggery using 2 tablespoon milk and keep aside(skip this step if using powdered jaggery)

* Step 3

Heat ghee in a non stick pan and add the bread crumbs

* Step 4

Sauté on low heat as the crumbs changes colour

* Step 5

Add the powdered nuts and cardamom powder and mix

* Step 6

Finally add the jaggery syrup and combine well until the whole mixture comes together (add more ghee if needed)

* Step 7

Serve warm or at room temperature garnished with sliced nuts
