Sajjige Rotti/Rava Roti
Sajjige Rotti is a specialty of Karnataka. It’s commonly accompanied either with chutneys or a spicy curry. It’s made of semolina/rava. It’s also commonly called Bombay Rava Roti or Chirotti Rava Roti. It can be made plain or with additions of spices and condiments. It’s a nutritious recipe suitable for all, and is especially healthy for those suffering from Diabetics

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Bring to boil water with 1 Tb oil and salt
* Step 2
When the water is boiling, reduce heat and add the semolina bit by bit stirring constantly to avoid creating lumps.
* Step 3
When evenly mixed and the water is completely absorbed leaving the semolina soft, turn off heat and place the semolina on a plate to cool of slightly
* Step 4
While still warm, add a Tb oil and wheat flour
* Step 6
Make Golf ball sized portions of the dough and start kneading them thin on a greased surface by dusting some flour
* Step 7
Toast each roti one by one on a skillet using a ts ghee
* Step 8
Take off heat once brown spots appear on both sides. Remember to cook on medium-Low heat
* Step 9
Store airtight till consumption
* Step 10
Serve warm with chutneys/curries, etc by applying a ts ghee over the rotis
