Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Firstly, chop the cauliflower into medium florets. Keep it salt water for 5-10 minutes. Rinse well with fresh water and set it aside.
* Step 2
Peel and wash the green peas and set it aside.
* Step 3
In a blender, add roughly chopped tomatoes, cashewnuts, ginger and garlic.
* Step 4
Also add red chilli powder and grind it into a smooth paste. Set it aside.
* Step 5
Heat oil in a kadai. Add the finely chopped onions and saute till slightly golden.
* Step 6
Now reduce the flame to low and add the dry spice powders ie. red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, pav bhaji masala, turmeric powder and salt. (Note that you can add garam masala powder instead of pav bhaji masala). Saute for 30 seconds.
* Step 7
Next add the ground tomato-cashew paste and mix it well.
* Step 8
Add some chopped coriander stems and leaves and saute till oil appears at the surface.
* Step 9
Add the fresh green peas and saute on medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
* Step 10
Then add the chopped cauliflower florets and saute on medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
* Step 11
Lastly add hot water and allow it to come to a boil.
* Step 12
Reduce the flame to low and cover and cook for about 10-12 minutes or till the cauliflower and peas are well cooked.
* Step 13
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and mix it well.
* Step 14
Delicious Cauliflower Peas Curry is ready. Serve it hot with rice, roti, paratha or pooris.
