Grilled Pineapple Tikka

Grilled Pineapple Tikka is normally served as an appetizer in which cubed pineapple chunks are marinated with spice mix of chilli, cinnamon,chaat masala,salt powdered sugar or honey, and lemon juice.It is then skewered and grilled in an oven,barbecue grill or in a grill pan.It is a perfect idea to serve grilled pineapple as a snack or starter at parties when pineapple tastes best during the Monsoon season or hot summer months from March to July.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Peel and remove the eyes from pineapple.Slice and remove the hard centre fibrous core.Cube into thick chunks.Pineapple can also be cut into rounds or into thick finger strips.Here it is cubed.
* Step 2
Mix all dry spices,powdered sugar or honey alongwith pinch of salt,lemon juice and tomato sauce.Marinate cubed pineapple in it for half hour.Skewer the cubes in batches.Heat butter in a grill pan and grill pineapple for 5-6 minutes flipping when one side grilled.
* Step 3
Sprinkle chaat masala and serve tangy sweet and sour grilled pineapple warm as an appetizer or as a monsoon special snack garnished with chopped coriander alongwith lemon wedges and tomato sauce at parties or for a special family dinner.
