Crispy Potato Cheese Rolls

Potato cheese rolls are excellent tea time snack.They are also a sure hit at any party.These rolls are crumb coated and hence crispy outside and soft melt in mouth inside due to cheese.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Peel,cube and boil or steam cook potatoes till done but not mushy.Strain water and mash potatoes.Add 2 tbsp cornflour.Now add black pepper powder,red chilli powder,garlic paste or powder,chopped green chillies,oregano,chopped coriander and salt to taste.Mash all.Add 2 tbsp breadcrumbs to absorb any moisture in potatoes and mix.Grate 2 cheese cubes and mix in the mashed potato.
* Step 2
Set the mashed mix in a tray and deep freeze for 10 minutes.Slice into long strips.Make a slurry of cornflour and maida or 1 beaten egg.Dip the cheese rolls in batter and crumb coat twice to make it crispy.Refrigerate for 3-4 hours.Large batches can be kept in the freezer in zip lock bags.
* Step 3
Heat oil in a pan and deep fry in medium heat till crispy.Serve hot as a tea time snack or as a starter at parties.
