Grilled Veggies and Tomatoes
The smokiness is less on the grill then the smoker, unfortunately my smoker burnt down Thanksgiving Day.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Fire up the grill. Cut up the potatoes, turnips, and onions. Cut the tops off the garlic and wrap in aluminum foil. Keep the tomatoes whole.
* Step 2
Season with a bit of salt. Add to a grill safe container. Put on the grill to get bottoms crispy. I transferred them to a low profile pan to allow more smokiness.
* Step 3
When done chop them a little finer. Melt the butter and Sauté all but the tomatoes and garlic.
* Step 4
Remove the veggies from the pan adding into the pan the sliced grilled tomatoes. Then add the sauteed grilled veggies on top. Preheat your oven to 450° Fahrenheit. I put them on a pizza like dough. I split them in half one In a cast iron skillet and the rest on a pizza pan.
* Step 5
Squeeze the garlic out of the bulbs. Remove any of the peelings. Add them on top of the veggies. Cover them with the shredded cheddar cheese.
* Step 6
Put into the oven for 45 minutes. They are good with or without the dough. I hope you enjoy!!!
