Semolina Peas Upma
#healthyjunior - Let me share a healthy and a nutritious South Indian breakfast of semolina cooked with some green peas. It is a very simple and a quick dish that can be prepared in a jiffy. You can add any veggies to it, to enhance the flavour and make it more wholesome. It can be served with coconut chutney or pickle.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Heat oil in a pan and temper with mustard seeds and dry red chilies (opt). After it stops spluttering, add the urad dal and saute for a few seconds.
* Step 2
Add onion, ginger and curry leaves. Saute till light brown.
* Step 3
Add the peas followed by the.......
* Step 4
...........semolina. Stir fry till light brown in colour.
* Step 5
Add water, salt and the roasted peanuts. Simmer till it becomes thick. Add lime juice and ghee. Give it a stir.
* Step 6
Serve hot with coconut chutney.
